An Enjoyable Weekend with Bicycle Festival in Long Beach
Green Pedal Bicycle Festival was held in Long Beach, one of the longest coastlines in Cyprus. While Dörter Construction from the construction industry sponsored the organization, Island Green Construction, together with Dörter Construction, opened a stand at the 2-day festival, 27-28 November, and introduced their projects to the festival visitors.
Green Pedal Bicycle Club, which started its operations 4 years ago, strives to spread the cycling culture by constantly organizing events and to raise awareness through activities on many different subjects and concepts, including cycling. The Bicycle Festival, which was held for the first time with the support of Iskele Municipality and the sponsorship of Dörter Construction, Cortado and Alternative Future companies, is planned to be repeated in the following years.
The first day of the festival started with the race in which 86 racers participated, with the slogan "Bicycle for Everyone", in which the Mayors of İskele, Yeniboğaziçi, Geçitkale and Mehmetçik took the opening ride. While 4 different musical groups performed live music on the stage, DJ performances that continued all day gave the visitors an enjoyable weekend. While the little ones showed their skills on the track set up for children on the second day of the festival; There was also a BMX Show for adults.
Metin Dörter, one of the managers of the festival sponsor Dörter Construction: “We will always support such festivals to be held more frequently in our region. Even as we are about to enter December, people here are swimming in the sea and enjoying the beautiful weather. "As cycling has become a part of our island culture, we are very happy to support this festival organized by Green Pedal." He made a statement. Dörter Team, who gave information about their projects on sale at the stand they set up, also gave the good news that they will announce a new project soon.
