    Interviews

Interview with Ibrahim Savant, CEO of Hub Property.

We visited HuB Property Invesment, which draws attention with its rapid development. We listened to the adventure of the company from its CEO, İbrahim Savant.

First of all, thank you for hosting us. Let’s get straight to the point. How did the idea to establish HuB Property Investment come about? Can you share your story with us?

Of course. In fact, the idea of the emergence of HuB Property Investment dates back to 2014. Everything has started with a question that I came up in my mind an international fair, “I wonder if a real estate company that can undertake the marketing of the whole of Northern Cyprus can not be established?” This question and subsequent developments combined with the ideas of our director Zarif Noyan over the years and led to the establishment of HuB Property Investment.

As you know, our director has brought many investors to the island through her producer company over the years. During this process, we were working with the foreign companies that we had a contract exclusively.

However, as the needs of the incoming investors started to differ over time, the incoming they started to get on the plane and return. And as a result, much less investment was made to the island than it deserved.

That’s why our main aim is to ensure that potential investors coming to the island can invest in our island. I should point out that the investment somehow comes to the island. We do not want this investors to return without investing. We aim to ensure that all investors coming to the island invest in the island in some way.

So what were the first reactions like? How did your subsequent development process continue

Of course, there were those who initially found our initiative courageous. However, over time, we were able to express ourselves better, and thanks to the investments we brought to our country with our connections, our business began to be followed more closely.

“OUR MAIN GOAL IS TO ENSURE THAT THE INCOMING INVESTOR INVESTS IN THE ISLAND.”

In the intervening time, the entire sector has seen our determination and stance. For this reason, our development has really accelerated. While we were a modest team consisting of 4-5 people at the beginning, we have now become an office that can market the whole island with the connections we have established over the years.

As our development gained great momentum, our team started to grow as well. We’ve grown so much that just our sales team consists of 15 people now. As such, our small office was not enough, and as a result, we moved here to our new prestigious building.

What are the features that make HuB Property Investment different? What distinguishes it from its competitors?

We adopt our founding principle and we want to work not in competition but more like a friendly company. We want to develop by sharing. With this principle, we continue to bring investors to our island. In particular, we have a lot of work to protect and increase our international connections. For example, we have visited 7 different countries in the last 1,5 months. We took part in exhibitions and similar organizations.

There are many more factors that distinguish us from our colleagues. And one of them is that we are trying to concentrate on all the potential markets. For us this is very important. In addition, although our focus points in our portfolio management change periodically, we do not have a fixed pattern. We can add all kinds of products and assets to our portfolio.

    “We remove the cultural barrier.”

We learned from our previous experiences and built a sales team of people that incoming investors would like to talk easily. We take great care to serve as much as possible to every investor in their own language and with their own citizens. We can provide service in 7 languages. Thus, we remove the culture barrier.

We continue our marketing activities both digitally and traditionally. Although digital marketing is very important today, we aim to provide maximum customer satisfaction by removing all barriers. For this reason, we aim to be able to connect in every way.

We aim to work with a customer-oriented approach from the moment of the first connection. First, we understand what the investor or customer want. Our service to all our guests coming from abroad starts at the airport and continues until they return. In these exploratory trips, we tour the locations suitable for investment and we introduce our country well. Then we start to offer suitable options in line with the wishes of our customers.

What are your expectations for the real estate sector and the future of Northern Cyprus? What are you planning to do in the future?

First of all, I would like to state that we think that the increasing demand will continue with the development in Northern Cyprus and that the value increase will continue due to the limited lands close to the sea.

We are very satisfied with the process so far. As for the future, we actually have a 7-8 year marketing plan. We aim to open offices in different countries to market those regions and to convince the investors that we can attract those regions to come to Northern Cyprus as well. In other words, we aim to carry our success here to the global market. Of course, this is a long-term plan, but I would like to point out that we have already started to work for this.

Before this large-scale plan, there are other things we want to do, other services that we want to add to our company services. We want to provide a lifetime service to our investors and customers. We want to be with them constantly, to be able to respond to all their needs. For this purpose, we plan to offer our customers a Rent Management Service first. In this way, we want to be a service provider on a scale that covers sales and after-sales.
