Kamil Çağra founded Çağra in February 1988 with consignment goods and two employees in a 40-square meter rental store in Kyrenia.
On September 16, 1995, the first steps of development were taken by moving to the Girne Center building, which is their own place on Uğur Mumcu Street.
The land, which was purchased in 2004 as 5 decares with the goal of growth, has been expanded, and today, with a 12 decare warehouse in 2019, it serves the people of the island with more products and outstanding brands.
With the participation of Olgu and Ödül Çağra to the board of the family company Çağra in 2015, further steps were taken for the growth of Çağra.
In 2010, a showroom on the second floor of the Girne Merkez store was built and began to serve with ceramics, sanitary ware, bathrooms, faucets, and other items.
Çağra Freeport Company was established in 2017 by adding another warehouse to its structure in the free port area.
The Famagusta branch, which started to serve in an area of 300 m2 in 2015, moved to its new location of 3000 m2 in 2018 and continues to serve the people of Famagusta in a wider area today.
In 2019, the logo, which serves as its identity, underwent name, color, and symbol changes in the hopes of better representing the service provided by keeping up with the changing digital world and expanding the product range. The name Çağra Yap Market, which has been used since it was established, and has evolved to include Çağra Home Center, Çağra Showroom Concept, Çağra Store Concept, and Çağra Freeport, depending on the store and service.
In 2019, a new branch was opened in Çatalköy, an important location of Kyrenia, on an area of 1500 m2 .
Today, with its 3 branches in Famagusta and Kyrenia, 4 open-closed warehouses, and a team of 80 people, Çağra is a solution center that gathers all the needs for developing and enhancing every place of life under one roof.
There is a wide range of products in Çağra’s product range, ranging from decorative products to furniture, home textiles to kitchens, bathrooms, ceramics, garden products, furniture to lighting products, camping products to sanitary ware, carpets to paints, toys to hand tools, hardware to machinery.
