Background
Prof. Dr. Hasan AMCA received his B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the Eastern Mediterranean University (formerly called Higher Technological Institute) in the North Cyprus in 1984, the M.Sc. degree from the University of Essex (UK) in 1985 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Bradford (UK) in 1993. He worked as a lecturer in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department of the EMU. He served as the Director of the School of Computing and Technology, the dean of Engineering Faculty, director of Continuing Education Center and Vice Rector responsible for International Relations and Recruitment at EMU. He also served as the Chair of Board of Trustees of Ataturk Teachers Academy. Prof. Dr. Hasan AMCA is a senior member of the IEEE. Currently, he is member of the Information and Communication Technology Regulatory Board (BTHK) in North Cyprus.
His current research interests are 3G / 4G / 5G / Mobile Communications Systems, Millimeter-Wave Communications, Digital Video Broadcasting and Mobile Payment Systems.
Prof.Dr.Hasan AMCA 1984 yılında Kuzey Kıbrıs’taki Doğu Akdeniz Üniversitesi (daha önceki ismiyle Yüksek Teknoloji Enstütüsü)Elektrik Elektronik Mühendisliği bölümünden mezun oldu. 1985 yılında Yüksek Lisansını Essex Üniversitesi’nde (İngiltere) tamamladı. 1993 yılında Bradford Üniversitesi’nde (İngiltere) doktorasını tamamladı. DAÜ Elektrik ve Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümünde öğretim görevlisi olarak çalıştı. DAÜ Bilgisayar Mühendisliği ve Teknolojisi Yüksekokulu Müdürü, Mühendislik Fakültesi Dekanı, Sürekli Eğitim Merkezi Müdürü ve Uluslararası İlişkiler ve İşe Alımdan Sorumlu Rektör Yardımcısı olarak görev yaptı. Ayrıca, Atatürk Öğretmen Akademisi Mütevelli Heyeti Başkanı olarak görev yaptı. Prof. Dr. Hasan AMCA, IEEE’nin kıdemli bir üyesidir. Halen Kuzey Kıbrıs’ta Bilgi ve İletişim Teknolojileri Düzenleme Kurulu (BTHK) üyesidir. Mevcut araştırma alanları 3G / 4G / 5G / Mobil Haberleşme Sistemleri, Milimetre Dalga Haberleşme, Dijital Video Yayını ve Mobil Ödeme Sistemleri’dir.
