Background
Nevter Zafer Cömerts’ bachelor degree from Bilkent University awarded her an Urban Designer and Landscape Architect. Her PhD is from Eastern Mediterranean University on the field of urban morphology. Her research areas are; Urban Morphology, Typo-morphology, Urban Culture, Urban Landscape, and Urban Housing. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor Dr. at Eastern Mediterranean University, Faculty of Architecture and she is the vice chair of department of Architecture. She has worked as a consultant and designer in the private sector in between 2004-2010. She is a president at Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Landscape Architect. Also she is one of the founding member and co-president of Cyprus Network of Urban Morphology (CyNUM). Also she is co-vice chair of Urban Research and Development Center. As an urban design and landscape architecture expert she provides local supervision to local authorities. She won many national and international competitions with a group work such as İzmit Waterfront Landscape and Urban Design Competition, and Adana Seyhan school campus which awarded 2nd position and other recent competitions.
