Background

Füsun Yılmaz-Phillipson trained as an Architect and Town Planner in Istanbul, and followed this up by studying Sales and Marketing in London. She has built on this academic foundation by working for over 25 years in the real estate sector in Turkey and the region, starting her career with such major real estate developers as Koç Holding, Koray Group (as Deputy General Manager for Marketing) and Kemer Yapı, where she was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Kemer Country and also GM of the Kemer Golf and Country Club. She founded her own company FYP Project Development, Marketing and Sales in 2005, and since then has provided both consultancy and implementation services to many of the most prominent companies in Turkey, focusing on project concept, best use and development consultancy as well as marketing and sales, and brand relations. Sectors of specialization include residential, retail and commercial, and – in particular – mixed use projects. FYP is currently working at board level on major projects with clients from Turkey, Ireland, Russia and the Caucasus and has also forged close ties with leading architects, interior designers, landscape architects and leisure consultants in Turkey and worldwide. Clients include Doğan Holding, Koç Holding, Yenigün İnşaat, the Torunlar Group, Tekfen, the House Group, Iş-GYO, and Metal Yapı Konut. FYP places particular emphasis on studying the latest lifestyle trends in the sector and devising unique concepts for its clients and projects, and to this end has founded a sister company called Mee! Entertainment, which provides specialist consultancy in segments such as leisure, hospitality and culture. Recent examples in Turkey include The Rahmi M. Koç Museum, the KidzMondo role play centre, and restaurant development with the established hospitality group, D & D London. Füsun Yılmaz-Phillipson is also a board member and Executive Council Vice Chairman of GYODer, the Turkish Developers’ Association. She is responsible there for events and sector relations, including the devising and organization of several major national real estate summits. She is also active in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility, and sits on the board of charitable NGOs.

Füsun Yılmaz-Phillipson İstanbul’da Mimarlık ve Şehir Planlama eğitimini takiben Londra’da Satış ve Pazarlama okumuştur. Akademik temelinin üzerine 25 yılı aşkın bir süredir Türkiye Emlak sektöründe Koç Holding, Koray Grup (Pazarlamadan sorumlu Müdür Yardımcısı), ve Kemer Yapı (Kemer Country için Satış ve Pazarlamadan Sorumlu Başkan Yardımcısı ve Kemer Golf and Country Club’da Genel Müdür) gibi büyük şirketlerde çalışarak kariyerini inşaa etmiştir.
Kendi şirketi olan FYP Proje Geliştirme, Pazarlama ve Satış’ı 2005 yılında kurmuş ve Türkiye’nin önde gelen şirketlerine hem danışmanlık hem de uygulama hizmetleri vermektedir. Şirket özellikle proje konsepti, en iyi kullanım, ve gelişim danışmanlığının yanısıra pazarlama ve satış, ve marka ilişkileri konularına yoğunlaşmaktadır. Sektördeki uzmanlıkları konut, mağaza ve ticari, ve özellikle karma kullanışlı projelerdir.

FYP şu sıralar Türkiye, İrlanda, Rusya ve Kafkaslar’da büyük projelerin kurullarında çalışmaktadır, ve aynı zamanda Türkiye ve dünyanın önde gelen mimar, iç dizayner, peyzaj mimarları  ile sıkı bağlar içindedir. FYP sektördeki son trendleri takip etmeye özellikle önem verir ve müşteriler için eşsiz konsept ve projeler sunar. Bu bağlamda kardeş şirket olarak eğlence, turizm ve kültür konularında uzman danışmanlık hizmetleri sunan Mee! Entertainment’i kurmuştur. Türkiye’de yakın geçmişte yaptığı bazı işlere örnek olarak Rahmi M. Koç Müzesi, KidzMondo rol oyun evi ve D&D London çatısı altında bir restoran olarak gösterilebilr. Füsun Yılmaz-Phillipson aynı zamanda GYODer’in kurul üyesi ve yürütme kurulu başkan yardımcısıdır. Burada bazı büyük ulusal emlak zirvelerini organize etmek de dahil olmak üzere etkinlik ve sektör ilişkilerinden sorumludur. Bunların yanısıra kurumsal sosyal sorumluluk konusunda aktiftir ve kar amacı güden sivil toplum örgütlerinin yönetim kurulunda da yer alır.
